What happened
Landlord applied for an order to require the Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on October 5, 2022 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from March 1, 2022 to October 5, 2022.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 5, 2022. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $9,025.79, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit.
