What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's failure to prepare the rental unit for bed bug treatment, which substantially interfered with other residents' and the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 3, 2020. The Tenant must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $31.39 per day for use of the unit after October 4, 2020 until the Tenant moves out, as well as $186 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 3, 2020, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
