What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The previous order allowed the Landlord to apply to the Board without notice to the Tenant to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant if the Tenant did not meet certain conditions.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant is terminated, and the Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before August 21, 2020. The Tenant owes no money to the Landlord, as the amount of the rent deposit and interest the Landlord owes on the rent deposit exceeds the amount the Landlord is entitled to under this order by $813.30. The Landlord is authorized to offset $32.30 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting August 11, 2020 until the Tenant moves out.
