What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 16, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $11,854.76, which includes rent arrears up to April 14, 2022 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $64.11 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting May 6, 2022 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by May 16, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest and the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
