What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation by his daughter for at least one year. The Tenants have lived in the unit for 23 years and requested a delay in eviction due to their child's disability and the Tenant's medical conditions.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2023. The Landlord's application for personal use was granted, but the eviction was delayed to accommodate the Tenants' circumstances. If the Tenants do not vacate by January 31, 2023, they must pay $55.60 per day for use of the unit starting February 1, 2023, until they move out.
