What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to pay rent from September 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 23, 2021. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 28, 2022. The Tenant must pay $5,212.34 plus $36.16 per day starting January 18, 2022, to the Landlord. If the Tenant pays $5,686.00 by January 28, 2022, the eviction order will be void. If not paid, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement starting January 29, 2022.
