What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), but the N4 Notice was found to be invalid due to incomplete information.

The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $500 in rent arrears and $175 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 31, 2020, they will start accruing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
