What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The parties mutually agreed to resolve all matters at issue in the application.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $6,795.50, which includes rent arrears up to August 17, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $85.15 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting August 18, 2021 until they move out. If the Tenants pay $10,861.00 on or before August 31, 2021, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
