What happened

Landlord applied for an order determining that Tenants have abandoned the rental unit. The Landlord's agent testified that he observed signs the Tenants had vacated the unit, and the Tenants did not respond to the Landlord's letter asking them to respond within 30 days.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenants is terminated as of June 19, 2020. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by August 23, 2021, they will owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance starting August 24, 2021.
