What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant was properly served notice but did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 24, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $1,940.45 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $8.66 per day starting October 14, 2020 until the Tenant vacates. The Tenant must also pay $175 in application fees. If the Tenant pays $2,275 on or before October 24, 2020, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy will continue.
