What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant failed to give proper notice of termination and left personal belongings behind in the rental unit after vacating in September 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $5,670.62 in rent arrears up to November 30, 2020, and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 21, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
