What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective August 24, 2021. The Tenants failed to pay the total rent required for the period from June 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 6, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying the specified amount. Tenants must pay $915.64 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $33.88 per day from January 27, 2022, until they move out. Tenants must also pay $186.00 for the application filing cost. If full payment is not made by February 6, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
