What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. The Tenants were originally Airbnb guests of the Landlords, but remained in the unit after the Airbnb booking expired without paying further rent.

The ruling

The Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 does not apply to the relationship between the parties, and the Landlords' application is dismissed.
