What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to meet conditions specified in a previous order (EAL-92484-20) issued on June 29, 2021. Tenants failed to pay $300.00 towards rent arrears by November 1, 2021, as required by the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective January 30, 2022. Tenants must pay $8,014.00 for rent arrears and application fees, plus $36.20 per day starting December 1, 2021, until they vacate the unit. If not paid by January 30, 2022, interest will accrue at 2% annually. The Landlord may file for eviction with the Sheriff starting January 31, 2022, if the unit is not vacated.
