What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to meet conditions specified in a previous mediated settlement. The Tenant failed to pay $100 towards outstanding arrears and failed to pay full lawful rent for June 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective November 9, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,892.00 in rent arrears and costs, plus $27.58 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting July 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 9, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
