What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to pay rent from December 1, 2020, to November 30, 2021. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective August 23, 2021. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay $6,941.73 in rent arrears and compensation up to January 18, 2022, plus $18.08 per day starting January 19, 2022, and $186.00 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay or vacate by January 29, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
