Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 21, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $14,112.67 (less any payments made after the application was filed) for rent arrears, the previous application fee, and daily compensation for use of the unit starting January 11, 2023. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by January 21, 2023, they will owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
