What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord's child in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2023. The Tenants must vacate the unit by this date. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting September 1, 2023, if the unit is not vacated. The Tenants must pay $37.76 per day from January 10, 2023, until they move out, less any amount already paid.
