What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlords served an N8 Notice of Termination on January 1, 2022, with a termination date of March 31, 2022. The Tenants were not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 6, 2022. Tenants are ordered to pay $692.80 for use and occupation up to September 20, 2022, plus $34.64 per day thereafter until they vacate. Tenants must also pay $186.00 for the application filing fee. If not paid by November 6, 2022, interest will accrue at 4% annually.
