What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on December 1, 2020 with respect to application HOL-06724-20.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 2, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $5,050.00 for rent arrears and the previous application fee, plus $27.12 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting January 23, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 2, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
