What happened

Tenants applied for an order determining that the Landlord harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with them and entered the rental unit illegally. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on June 30, 2020, before the term of the lease had completed, without a valid agreement to terminate the lease.

The ruling

The Landlord harassed the Tenants and entered the rental unit illegally. The Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenants $150 for the key deposit and $45 for the application fee. The Landlord is also ordered to pay an administrative fine of $250 to the LTB.
