What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant committing illegal acts and seriously impairing the safety of others in the residential complex. The Landlord provided evidence of the Tenant threatening a visitor with a knife, physically assaulting a roommate, and engaging in other disruptive and violent behavior.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective December 31, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date and pay the Landlord $707.41, which includes the application fee, compensation for use of the unit, and interest on the rent deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by December 31, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement starting January 1, 2022.
