What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to undue damage to the rental unit and substantial interference with the Landlord's or another tenant's reasonable enjoyment. The Landlord served a notice of termination on the Tenant, with a termination date of April 13, 2021. The Tenant vacated the unit on August 25, 2021.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $550 for the cost of repairing the damage to the bedframe and deep cleaning the unit, as well as $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 12, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
