What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $9,327.86 for rent arrears up to December 31, 2022, including the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by March 19, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 5% annually on the outstanding balance.
