What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board on June 29, 2021 with respect to application SOL-20282-21.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 23, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $15,900.00 in rent arrears and compensation for use of the unit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by August 23, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting August 24, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by August 23, 2021, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
