What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant's near-daily use of cannabis inside the rental unit, which substantially interfered with the Landlord's reasonable enjoyment of the mixed-use commercial and residential complex and the Landlord's lawful right, privilege or interest.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 1, 2021. The Tenant must vacate the unit by that date. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the application fee and $27.95 per day in compensation for use of the unit after October 2, 2021 until the Tenant moves out.
