What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 4, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $5,219 for rent arrears and application costs, plus $34.69 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting January 1, 2022 until they vacate. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by January 4, 2022, they will owe interest on the outstanding balance.
