What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant spoke to Tenant Duty Counsel prior to the hearing.
The ruling
The Landlord's application for eviction of the Tenant is denied on the condition that the Tenant shall pay the rent on the 1st day of each month, when it is due and payable, from May 1, 2021 to April 1, 2022. If the Tenant fails to make any one of the payments in accordance with this order, the Landlord may, without notice to the Tenant, apply to the Board pursuant to section 78 of the Act for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant and requiring that the Tenant pay any new arrears, NSF fees and related charges that became owing after February 16, 2021.
