What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenant remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord the monthly rent due on or before the 1st day of the month for the period of May 2021 to April 2022. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant fails to make any of the payments, the Landlord may apply to the Board, no later than 30 days after a breach of this order, without notice to the Tenant, for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
