What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet the conditions of a previous mediated settlement.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2020. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $17,736.20 in rent arrears and $53.76 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting August 21, 2020 until they move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by August 31, 2020, they will owe interest starting September 1, 2020. If the unit is not vacated by September 1, 2020, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
