What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent that the Tenants owed. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective May 26, 2020 due to rent arrears. The Tenants were still in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $10,801, which includes $10,600 in rent arrears and $201 in application filing costs. The Tenants shall make monthly payments of $300 from July 2022 to June 2025, with a final payment of $202 in July 2025. The Tenants shall also pay the lawful rent of $1,250 per month going forward. If the Tenants fail to make any of the ordered payments, the full balance will become immediately due and payable.
