What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to non-payment of rent and serious impairment of safety. The building was sold during the tenancy, and the new landlord did not seek to terminate the tenancy.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $4,625 in rent arrears and $190 for the application filing fee. If the full amount is not paid by February 22, 2021, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
