What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. Tenant had been in Jamaica since August 2021 and had not made rent payments. Tenant's sons were living in the unit without Landlord's knowledge.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out by March 7, 2022. The Tenant owes $21,261.54 plus $65.75 per day starting February 25, 2022. The Tenant can void the eviction by paying $24,701.00 by February 26, 2022, or $27,201.00 by March 7, 2022.
