What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord also applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Landlord has entered into an agreement of purchase and sale of the rental unit and the purchaser requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation.
The ruling
The Tenants shall pay to the Landlord $12,774.12, which represents the amount of rent owing to March 22, 2021. The Tenants shall also pay to the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before August 31, 2020, the Tenants will start to owe interest. The Landlord's L2 Application is withdrawn and the Board's file is closed.
