What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenants continues if the Tenants meet the conditions set out in the order. Commencing December 1, 2022 and for a period of 12 consecutive months (December 2022 to and including November 2023), the Tenants shall pay the monthly rent on or before the first day of each month. If the Tenants fail to comply with the conditions, the Landlord may apply under section 78 of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenants.
