What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board on November 2, 2021. The Tenants did not pay the rent arrears and the lawful rent as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must vacate the rental unit by January 18, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $1,910.13, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order and the application fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $41.10 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting January 8, 2022 until they move out.
