What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit at the time of the hearing.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the August 2021 rent in full by August 10, 2021 and the new rent as it comes due for the period between September 2021 to August 2022 by the first of each month. If the Tenant fails to make any of these payments, the Landlord may apply to the Board to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant. The Tenant shall also pay the $186 application filing fee by September 10, 2021, with interest accruing on any unpaid balance.
