What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant failed to pay rent from February 1, 2021, to February 28, 2022. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective January 20, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 31, 2022, unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amounts. The Tenant must pay $687.19 for rent arrears and compensation, plus $36.91 per day starting March 1, 2022, until they move out. The Tenant must also pay $186.00 for the application filing cost. If full payment is not made by March 31, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement.
