What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The application was filed after Tenants failed to pay January 2023 rent in full by the due date, breaching the conditions set in the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 1, 2023. Tenants must pay $8,660.09 to the Landlord, representing rent owing up to March 21, 2023, and the cost of filing the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest. Tenants must also pay $54.07 per day from March 22, 2023, until they vacate the unit. If the unit is not vacated by April 1, 2023, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting April 2, 2023.
