What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because they did not meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order issued on December 29, 2021. The condition breached was the failure to pay the lawful rent for October 2022 in full on or before October 1, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 24, 2023. Tenants must vacate by this date or face enforcement by the Sheriff starting January 25, 2023. Tenants must pay $54.74 per day from January 14, 2023 until they move out. If full payment is not made by January 24, 2023, interest at 5% annually will be charged on the outstanding balance from January 25, 2023.
