What happened
Landlord applied for termination of tenancy and eviction due to non-payment of rent and willful or negligent damage to the premises. Landlord also claimed compensation for each day Tenants remained in the unit after termination date and for costs to repair or replace damaged property.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 27, 2022. Tenants must pay $4,155.47 to the Landlord, which includes rent arrears, damages, and filing fees, minus the rent deposit and interest. Tenants must also pay $50.14 per day from August 9, 2022, until they vacate. If not vacated by September 27, 2022, the Sheriff may enforce the eviction.
