What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Landlords served a Notice of Termination effective September 11, 2021. Tenants failed to pay rent from August 15, 2021 to February 14, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 11, 2022. Tenants must pay $8,260.12 to Landlords for rent arrears and compensation up to January 31, 2022, plus $59.18 per day from February 1, 2022 until move-out. Tenants must also pay $201.00 for application filing costs. If Tenants pay $11,001.00 by February 11, 2022, the eviction order will be void.
