What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to allegations of drug trafficking and failure to prepare the rental unit for bed bug treatment, which substantially interfered with the Landlord's and other tenants' reasonable enjoyment of the residential complex. The Landlord also sought compensation for damages.

The ruling

The Tenant is ordered to pay the Landlord $170 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 30, 2015, the Tenant will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance. The Landlord is ordered to provide the Tenant with a second key to the main entrance, and the Tenant is ordered not to prevent the door from being locked at all times or give the key to anyone other than the co-occupant. If the Tenant fails to comply with this order, the Landlord can apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
