What happened

Tenant filed an application alleging that the Landlord served an N12 notice in bad faith, as the rental unit was listed for rent shortly after the Tenant vacated.

The ruling

The Tenant's application was partially successful. The Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenant $2,875 in compensation under s.55.1, as well as $50 for the cost of filing the application. The total amount of $2,925 must be paid by February 29, 2020, after which interest will accrue.
