What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The tenants did not pay $600 in arrears by the deadline set in the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 1, 2021. The tenants must pay the landlord $1,986.54 in rent arrears and $63.92 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting May 22, 2021 until the date they move out. If the full amount is not paid by June 1, 2021, the tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
