What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation by the Landlord's child.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 30, 2022. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by that date. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $14,017.49 less any amounts paid, representing compensation for use of the unit from April 1, 2021 to February 16, 2022, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $47.67 per day for compensation for use of the unit from February 17, 2022 until they move out.
