What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Tenant did not meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order regarding rent payment. The Tenant failed to pay $500.00 in arrears by October 10, 2022, as required by the previous order.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 31, 2023. The Tenant must pay $7,857.12 plus $38.08 per day starting January 21, 2023, until they vacate the unit. If the Tenant does not vacate by January 31, 2023, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting February 1, 2023. The Tenant has until January 30, 2023, to file a motion to set aside the order.
