What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants failed to meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the Board.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective April 2, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $11,646.63, which represents the rent owing up to March 22, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $62.68 per day for compensation for the use of the unit starting March 23, 2021 until the date the Tenants move out. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by April 2, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
