What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on September 13, 2021.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective March 5, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $9,879.08, which includes rent arrears up to February 22, 2022 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by March 5, 2022, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting March 6, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by March 5, 2022, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
