What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $6,101.60 if the payment is made on or before August 20, 2022. This amount includes rent arrears owing up to July 31, 2022 and the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by August 20, 2022, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 3.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
